CELEBRATING THE GLORY OF THE HIT SINGLE


We're delighted to be working with Speak To Me Gabriel, the design company of Paulo Baigent, lover of design, music and, in particular, that wonderful piece of 7 inch heaven known as the Single!

His range of cards celebrating singles started in 2017 with the year 1967. Initially thought up as a print for his sister-in-law it featured a Flower-Power inspired background and classic hits including Respect by Aretha Franklin, Waterloo Sunset by The Kinks, Purple Haze by Jimi Hendrix and Light My Fire by The Doors.

This was soon followed by more and more requests for people's birth years. The research in selecting the hits that stand the test of time and a design that captures the zeitgeist of a particular year was hugely satisfying.

After a while the ideas grew to include Genre cards which included the classic hits of a particular slice of music. A successful range of greetings cards was forming and local record shops were eager to offer these to their customers.

Since then the range has grown and grown and cards have been ordered from people all over the world. Besides this the designs have been featured on T-Shirts, Tote Bags, Mugs and even Tea Towels in our PEACEPUNKS range

 In the end we just don't want to forget about the classic singles that have been part of our history!
